Fire & Ice is stylish, ambient, and at the cutting edge of contemporary design, Fire & Ice brings a whole new reverence to English and Mediterranean wood fired cuisine. Customers will be enticed by the welcoming aromas from freshly prepared, locally supplied, organic food while children can watch chefs toss pizza in our theatre kitchen.

The first Fire & Ice opened its doors early February 2006 in West Bridgford. Stylish, ambient, and at the cutting edge of contemporary design. Watch our bartenders who are fully trained in the art of cocktail fusion. We also offer an excellent choice of organic wines, a selection of cask ales and continental lagers. Nottingham's only traditional wood fired Italian oven.
I have to commend F&I for what they are doing here. As a local business man and a former diner at F&I i found it difficult to go into the restaurant to entertain clients. I find breast feeding mothers and screaming babies very off putting. My clients never appreciate it either. So we stopped going. The fact that the mothers have no regard for other customers as the entrances were constantly blocked by buggies etc. its great that F&I are doing something about it. I will be returning back to F&I in the near future knowing they have taken action.
I have to agree with what F&I are doing here. As a local business man finding a nice place such as F&I to entertain clients in mornings and over lunch, its very off putting to be surrounded by breast feeding mothers with screaming babies whilst trying to impress clients. The fact these parents have no regard for other customers by leaving pushchairs and baby seats across entrances etc. it is no wonder F&I is taking action against this. I will be returning to F&I now i no actions have been taken and that i may be in for a peaceful lunch!
I too have had the same experience! We were told that we 'blocked the door so no one else could come in', that prams were being limited to six and if we came again we would have to sit at the back - like second class citizens. We were then asked to leave; whether or not we'd bought a drink (in fact one of us had just ordered a drink which never arrived!) We also went every week and were often the only customers they had! I have found most of the staff very rude and unfriendly every time I have been. I will certainly not be returning.
Having attended F&I on a weekly basis for 9 months as part of an antenatal group, we were upset to be told last week that we were "too messy", "hogging highchairs" and "not buying enough drinks" and asked to leave. Frankly this is rude and unfamily friendly. Who else do they expect to get in there at 11am midweek?
We went last year for a friend's birthday, there were eight or so of us. The service was good and the food was fabulous. I had a fillet steak and it was actually better than I could cook myself (and I can cook a better fillet steak than most of the places I eat at). They also serve delicious pizzas cooked in a traditional wood fired Italian oven. The food is (according to their website) organic and locally supplied. Obviously this impacts upon the price but in with the price you get a nice eating environment. A good place for special occasions.

Ive been for drinks to this pub a few times now, and everytime its a great night out! The ambiance is pleasant, everybody is buzzing and everyone is really friendly! The bar staff are lovley and the service is quick! There are seating areas which, if you're looking for just a chilled out night for a few drinks is perfect. There is a dining area, which I am yet to try, buts its definitley on my list to try out. In summary, a great place, would definitley recommend, service is great and will be drinking here again
