  I love a good curry. Shame it wasn't at Chutney! I was with a group of 15 people who booked a table at Chutney, but when we arrived it was obvious that they had forgot about our booking! First, they pulled loads of tiny tables together right in the middle of the restaurant and plonked us down whilst the waiters walked past us carrying plates of curry above our heads! Secondly, the waiters completely ignored us for at least half an hour, eventually asking us if we wanted a drink. Thirdly, we ordered the pickle tray and some poppadoms to start, which they brought out half an hour later and when we asked for more poppadoms, they took about 15 minutes to bring them out! Not a difficult order! The food was ok, but it was not as good as the majority of curries I've had. Will never go back here.

  Chutney is a small restaurant located on Maid Marian Way right in front of a bus stop (if you use rainbow bus services). Being a small restaurant, not many people can be seated in one go and it never has a really busy feel to it. Service provided by the staff is very nice and they try hard to attend to all your needs. Starters of pappadoms and a selection of chutneys and salads are provided once an order is made to keep you busy. The meals are always very tasty and there is a good selection to choose from. Desserts seem somewhat overpriced so I would not recommend them and they are extremely frozen when served. Overall a good place!
