About Us

The timber ceiling main bar with its ultra comfortable leather booth seating, is the perfect place for a freshly prepared bar meal and drink, or an "early doors" drink straight from work. With table service adding to the relaxed laid back feel, all you need to concentrate on is the great food and drink, and your company!

Thursdays are our live music night with the emphasis on musicians playing soulful, funky, jazzy, acoustic sets. With regular DJs on Friday evenings, the tempo is slightly higher, although the sound level still allows you to have a conversation and mix with a great crowd. In addition to the main bar, Tonic also boats a Deli/Cocktail bar to the front of the venue and an exclusive balcony bar for diners.

Smart and spacious bar

What a nice change to go in somewhere and be able to get to the bar. No it wasn't that the place was empty, it just feels so spacious. The lighting is excellent and the seating is funky, yet comfortable...I would definitely go back.

Great bar and food

You’d never guess from the outside, but tonic is a seriously cool bar! Lots of suits at lunch and after work; hip crowd in the evenings … great bar food and amazing cocktails.”

Sharp London Styled Bar in Nottingham

Call me a snob but I like London’s attention to detail when it comes to bars, restaurants and clubs so it was a surprise to find Tonic in the city centre of Nottingham had lifted standards on the Nottingham bar and restaurant scene. The bar was smart, clean and had a sophisticated feel to it, I asked Gary if I could book a table in the restaurant on Friday (It was Wednesday) and he advised it was FULLY Booked... I’m booking 2 weeks in advance on my next visit. Try out the hidden cocktail bar on the top floor – a real treat.
