• I'm not surprised!

  I had an absolutely terrible time with them and am glad they are shut. I feel really bad for all those makers that were taken for a ride by this unprofessional outfit and hope you all succeed in getting your stock/money back! I agree with Michelle N - she was certainly the rudest gallery owner I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!!

  Sounds like i was one of the lucky ones, after many phones calls i eventually got my jewellery back ! The most rude and arrogant gallery owner i have ever had the misfortune to deal with !

  friar lane gallery has shut, taking many of the suppliers stock with it. I am a one time supplier and they didnt even tell me they were closing. i did get some of my stock back eventually, but they still owe me and alot of others money. Dec 2009

• Service 2nd to none

  Called in to pick up a small piece of glass work and I was made to feel as important as someone buying a piece worth thousands! The member of staff I dealt with was so friendly, helpful and professional. The work displayed in the gallery is stunning, just wish I could afford more.

  Friar Lane Gallery is a small commercial venture on the Nottingham Castle side of Friar Lane. If you want to buy contemporary art in Nottingham, this is the place to go - the work thus far has been jaw-droppingly stunning, and the window displays are eye catching and lush. The portfolio is full of work that is visually very striking, and yet remains contemporary and vital. The service is personal and the staff very professional.
