I ate here on Saturday 30/10/10. The cooked prawns served contained the intestinal tract. I complained to the waitress and she asked me to speak to the Manager. The Manager said 'I hear you are not happy with how the prawns were cooked'. On explaining my concern he said 'its a supplier problem' I feel the Manager's attitude and customer service, and the food at Dolce is terrible and do not recommend the restaurant
ive been here a couple of times, and although i may be biased as the restaurant belongs to the father of one of my friends I found it a great place. The prices are very good for the ammount of food - which is generally to a very good standard. Would recomend it for anyone looking for a good meal at a decent price.
I had a lovely salmon pasta dish here which as a lunchtime offer came with a free glass of wine, so a real bargain at £5.50. Sweet homely setting and friendly staff
I have never felt compelled to write a review of a restaurant until now, but I didn't want other people to go through the experience we had at Dolce. The food was quite frankly terrible, with hot pasta and chicken in an unpalatable sauce being slopped next to a cold 'salad' ice berg lettuce and cucumber. Every member of our large party left more than half of their food on their plate - not because they were full, but because the food was so unpleasant. Supposedly authentic Italian recipes featured sambuca or jalapeno peppers, and the whole menu seemed like something out of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares! I will not be returning.
