After a number of years of back problems i went to see an osteopath, who after a couple of sessions recomended yoga as an on-going practice. The Yin style practiced at Mike`s classes has been a real help to regaining confidence and strength in my back, aswell as a whole lot of other places! The lessons are a real tonic mentally to, as Mikes presentation and delivery is so good.
After giving birth to my second child I felt I needed to build my inner core strength up again- your body really does get punished through pregnancy and labour! A friend recommended that I attended Mike's Yin Yoga class - and what a great recommendation. I now have 2 hours a week when I can concentrate on MYSELF. I already (2 months later) feel that my posture and hip stength have improved. The sessions also help me achieve a peace that I am sure both my children and my husband appreciate! Thank you Mike.
I have been practising Yin Yoga (for the first time) at Mike's class for 3 months. In this time I have noticed a improvement in my postures. I feel in everday life I'm able to hold my back straight now (i was once a slumper!) and it comes quite naturally. Mike is very encouraging, profesional, warm, open and generous in the attention given to each person. His enthusiasm shines through as he recognises each individual as having a a unique structure. All of these attributes combine to make an excellent teacher and therefore, a wonderful experience for each student, week after week! Try for yourself!
I went to my First yoga class not really knowing what to expect. Mike is a gentleman and made me feel very welcome. There is a chilled atmosphere during the classes. Since attending Mikes classes I have noticed that my lower back pain is a lot better when driving, as I do about 2500 mile a month. Thanks for the help Mike!
This yoga is a different style to many other types and I have found its the best one I have tried to date! As a builder, I find it quite difficult to relax my back. This yoga does just the job!
This is a briliant form of yoga which is good if you have any lower back pain; it has helped me a lot. It is taught by an excellant intructer in a friendly and relaxed class. Definately recommended.
I've been attending Mike's classes for over 6 months now, having had back problems last year I started Yoga as a long term natural solution. It's working very well and I'm feel added benifits through out. Mike is a very good instructor who allows you to get the most out of the practice without pushing too far.

Having never heard of yin yoga before i have to say i was a little sceptical initially.However after attending a few lessons i was soon won over.The sequence in which the postures are performed and under Mike's excellent guidance allows for a prolonged and deep strech of the entire body especially in the hip and back area leading to total relaxation.Highly recommended Peter S. 21/5/07
I have been attending Mike's class at Wollaton on Monday evenings for a few weeks now and I have become a convert to this relaxing and therapeutic style of Yoga. Mike is an enthusiastic and excellent teacher who gives masses of information about the poses and their benefits. I was slightly daunted when I heard that poses are held for between one and five minutes but I found I was able to relax into the poses and Mike's comments made the time pass quickly. I am already reaping the benefits of increased flexibility. A fantastic class, both for beginners and more experienced Yoga buffs.
