Under lights that were too bright, our (booked) table was right by the (draughty) door, and I spent the meal looking at the doors to the toilets. Every subsequent diner then brushed past my elbow. Very noisy (but it was Saturday evening). Service slow and not particularly welcoming. Food unexciting and not cheap (£40 + tip for shared starter, two mains and two beers). The starter had been under the heat lamp for too long. Yes, they have plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans, and we might try it again for that reason, but overall we were disappointed.

There a several Thai places in and around Nottingham, but most of them offer diluted Thai food to suit the British tongue. Lantong offers great tasting, fresh food in a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a service with a personal touch. A world away from the greasy chippy next to it! There's more to Thai food than spring-rolls and curry. All those can be found here too, but this is the place to try some less familiar dishes. The Pa-Nang is divine. A place you will be always happy to return to.
