I have saved receipts but have been unable to find winning numbers in the christmas prize draw
After visiting the store again today, I was particularly impressed with the Landscapes department, and how smootly it is run and how kind the members of staff were, I recall one gentleman called David, who offered me guidance in purchasing Garden decorations.
I am a regular visitor of Downtown Garden Centre, I have always found the staff to be helpful in assisting me, especially when I bought some fish from the Aquatics department, I young gentleman names Josh assisted me in choosing the right fish for my new tank. thanks a bunch Josh.
I am a regular visitor to Downtown Garden Centre, where I find the staff to be of High Standard. Whilst buying fish the other week a kind gentleman called Josh, offered particularly good service and assisted me into buying some nice fishes. Thank you Joshua.
I always visit the store when I am in the area, and have always looked forward to it. We make a day out of it stopping for lunch etc. Good value, and some lovely unusual things. The last time however, the guy on the tills in the garden centre - Jonny - spoiled our ratings for the store. He was rude, didn't possess 'please' or 'thank you' in his vocabulary and was too busy messing around with one of his female co-workers whilst I was trying to pay. By his attitude, he obviously didn't want to be there.
Would agree with previous comments about poor opening hours, but worth taking a day's leave to get your Christmas shopping done here. There wasn't a single item of (designer/label)clothing, whitegoods, electrical items, furniture, floor coverings, toiletries, kitchenware, and more and more clothing and footware, etc - oh and more clothing - that didn't represent excellent value. Staff are well versed on what they have and where and are polite and friendly to boot. I've never been a big shopper, but I could happily spend a whole day in this place :-)
Fantastic superstore where you can buy almost anything. Shame they shut at 5.30 though as I'd like to be able to visit after work. I'd expect a store of that size to be 8pm at least!
It would be very easy to say too much about this store. Huge carparks, easy accessable from both A1 & other main roads. The garden centre is massive to say the least (if you want a specific plant/specimen/garden shed etc.) there will be a terrific amount to choose from. The other store is absolutely choc-a-block with goods & all good value. It's great just for a day out as most things are under the one roof, well, almost one roof!! The two restaurants are well appointed with friendly helpful staff, for that rest & recuperation that may be needed "mid shop". The only "down point" is the opening times. I would like to see the centre opening at 9am. Other than that I think that The DownTown Superstore is as the name suggests, "A Very Super Store".
As a local i am lucky to be able to pop to downtown when i wish, i do feel however that the opening hours could be more varied.
early opening needed, but overall standard alright.
