About Us

Brief description

The best music rehearsal studio complex in the midlands and north of the uk. The rehearsal rooms are large, purpose built and acoustically treated. They are also cleaned daily!!

Magnet hire has a massive backline rental stock , which includes guitar and bass amps, speaker cabs, drums, keyboards etc for hire.

We've recently added a couple of splitter vans (budget and luxury with DVD, Playstation etc) to our stock making us a one stop shop for your tour supplies including transport.

We are now offering a repair service for your amps. Our amp tech comes highly recommended as he keeps our vast stock running, and is also the no. 1 choice of tech for Rivera guitar amps in the UK.

  • 5 The only decent rehearsal room in Notts

    I've tried everywhere in Nottingham and this is the bomb!!! We've now been using it for a year. I've seen a couple of comments and Rob, if your reading this, it appears that your competition is scared of you cos they've been putting some bad reviews in here. Nasty business - nasty people. So, heres the truth. Magnet is run by honest, friendy guys who unlike some aren't in it just for the money. The equipment is seriously pro - I've never seen better anywhere. From Ampeg - Peavey bass rigs, Marshall and Laney valve guitar stacks and gretsch drums. The rooms are well designed, clean, soundproofed. You don't get drowned out by the band next door. They even supply fans, to cool us sweaty boys (and girls) off. I hear that you are now doing amp repairs too. Nice one - we know you ain't gonna rip anyone off!!! Top class!! and Thanks

    The minute you walk into the place you know you are in a studio that's different. Great gear, - love the Marshall valve amps - no cheapo stuff here and friendly helpful staff. We've since hired gear for gigs and it's always arrived on time and in good order. So... thanks Rob, you're a star.

    What a great place this is!! Superb gear, attentive service and great v.f.m. for us poor musicians. I've rehearsed in some real dumps and paid twice the price. I hope the people of Nottingham realise how lucky they are to have this excellent facillity on their doorstep.

    Great studio. I know that the owner works very hard to achieve, a great standard of service. The equipment is in superb condition, Pa's are all well serviced, the rooms are clean and smell fresh, and where else in the country can you hire a vintage Marshall Valve amp for only £1 per hour??? Even the loo is spotless. 10/10. Privately funded by an unsung hero of the Nottingham music scene.
