Virgin Active Pure Fitness

I joined at a promotional time in easter, which ment that I didnt have to pay the £25 joining fee, instead I payed a £10 deposit which I got back after I left. I got the student membership as Im a student at the University of Nottingham, which cost £28 per month unlimited usage. The facilities were generaly very good. They had all the essential cadio vascular equiptment, with plently to go around, even in the peak times(they had about 50 treadmils!) The resistance/free weights equiptment were very impressive too. I was pretty suprised that they did not have facilities such a sauna. The staff were all very friendly, and greet you on arrival. An induction and training program was offered when I joined, which was nice. Unfortunatly, the maintainace was below avarage. The gym was clean, but when machines broke or got damaged, it took weeks for them to get repaired. The placement in the centre of town is great, but if like me, you bring your car, you will have to fork out £2 each time you come on parking!
