    The Rig has the potential to be a really good venue. The lay out of the bar is spacious while the low ceilings create a sense of intimacy. The club is always dead, however. You would be better off to go upstairs on a Thursday to the main Rock City room, where the atmosphere is always buzzing and there are plenty of people around having a good time. The Rig requires better promotion and should take the opportunity to draw in the large student crowds Nottingham has to offer. The only thing going for the Rig is its cheap drinks.
