• A gem of a find

  It's very rare to find a garage that doesn't try to rip you off............but I have every confidence in the staff at R B Lindley's. They were upfront and fair when they gave me a quote for a Cam chain repair, some £300 cheaper than some garages approached. When my car was taken to R B Lindley's the staff were friendly, approachable and professional on every level. They not only repaired my car but had it ready two days before the projected pick up date. I was really impressed with every aspect of the service they provided, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them or recommend them to others.

• Fantastic service

  Very impressed with the service, honesty and prices at Lindleys. I have had bad luck with my mini - first the gear box went and Lindleys sorted out the gear box and new clutch at a very good price - verified by a mechanic friend who was also impressed by the price and service they gave. Soon after the power steering went and needed a new pump - Martin got an electrician to look at it to check it wasn't something simple, then took the time to phone around to get the cheapest part. The steering is now much better than it has ever been. Both times the price ended up being less than was quoted. Highly recommended garage, will be back for the MOT if the mini doesn't misbehave again beforehand!

• Fantastic Service

  I recently took my Volvo into Lindleys. Having thought I'd already diagnosed the problem I phoned around for quotes and Lindleys were by far the cheapest. It turned out it wasn't the fault I'd thought and was one 1/5 of the price. Some other less honest garage could've charged the price originally quoted and I wouldn't of been any the wiser. I can heartily recommend Lindleys and will be using them in the future. Brilliant!!!

  i took my 407 peugeot estate in to rb lindleys to have the turbo replaced.martin and his staff were very helpful and friendly.not knowing much about cars martin explained that he or 1 of his staff would have to take the turbo off first as there was more than 1 type of turbo for my car and get the correct part number.they could then order the correct part for the car.so i left my car with martin .within a couple of hours martin contacted me to tell me that the turbo was off,and a replacement was ordered and would be delivered the next day.and soon as the turbo was fitted martin would give me a ring to collect my car.the service i received from rb lindleys was excellent.everything from dropping my car off,keeping me informed, the quality of work and most of all the price was excellent.i was that pleased with the rb lindley ive booked my car in to have the timing belt done.10/10 highly recommended.

  I have used RB Lindleys a few times for a variety of work, from services, and MOT's to general labour such as brakes and cambelts. I have found the service and communication to be first class every time. I would like to thank the team once again for repairing a bust shock absorber last week with the same honest service i have come to expect.

• Very Happy Man Indeed, Best Service Around

  I went to RB Lindleys with a snapped timing belt, Martin on the counter told me it could be a small job if rockers were broken or a large costly job if the head had to come off, I know nothing about Motors and had to trust their judgement, thankfully they are honest men as they told me a couple of rockers were snapped, along with the price of the timing belt the repair came to just under £250, every other garage I spoke to was quoting around the £500 mark for starters, a credit to the trade. MOST certainly use again. Good man.

• Got me on holiday

  I would like to thank Martin and the team at lindley for getting my car fixed at such short notice and in such a friendly way i turn up on the Friday morning of the mayday bank holiday with what i thought was a worn wheel bearing.Martin thought it was and would call me. He called me an hour later to confirm this so i gave him the go ahead i was litteraly driving down to norfolk two hours later thanks again and i will see you all again for my MOT

• DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE!!!!

  My car broke down on the motorway and RB Lindley i was told was the best place to go to get it fixed. It needed a whole new engine,timing chain,camshaft,head gasket etc etc!!! They didnt start working on the car for atleast 2 weeks after they obtained the car and when they did finally get to look at the car they didnt keep me informed at all on how long it was gonna take or how much it would cost. After the 3rd week and after numerous phone calls from myself the car was finally done. Everything seemed ok until i realised that tools that they had used had been left under the passenger seat of the car with my stereo hanging out!!!! Needless to say i was not happy at them touching the cd player when there was nothing wrong with it! I got the car back home and only a hour later the engine management came on. I quickly rang Lindleys and explained the problem only to have someone tell me what are we supposed to do!!! Erm... excuse me!! I have now taken the car to another garage and i will not be going to them cowboys again. DO NOT USE R B LINDLEYS a garage full of cowboys ripping genuine people off.
