lunchtime carveries good value. recently started serving baked ham on saturdays.i have never tasted better.well worth the trip just for the ham. try tuesdays and wednesdays mid week carveries the standard appears to be higher according to locals.
We heard the pub had been refurbished and changed hands. They have done a great restorative job, lovely atmosphere and the new (we think its the owners) were really welcoming. Had a great range of chefs specials, we had the duck and rack of lamb. Service was attentive and not pushy.
Met the manager when he was handing out flyers and talking about his new menu and chef so we thought we would give it a try. Great news we found a pub doing real food with staff who actually speak to you as a customer. Had a great steak and my wife eat from a good looking specials board. Took a bit of finding but well worth the trip. We will be back
Always very accommodating and attentive to our needs, (especially with a young baby) All the staff are pleasant and smartly dressed and nothing is ever too much trouble. Never had a bad meal there yet. Highly recommend the Sunday carvery, plenty of meat, and as much fresh veg as you can eat!
The Pullman Restaurant serves a range of delicious foods - from the sunday carvery to the monday curry night. The Pullman used to be a railway station before it was converted to a restaurant, aspects of the original station have been preserved. The sunday carvery runs all day and is great value for money, with a professional chef carving your choice of meat. I would recommend the pullman to all ages!
This delightful Inn has a wonderful atmosphere. The Sunday Dinner was first class. The staff were excellent and most attentative. Nothing was too much for them.
