Initially I had to wait for almost half an hour - despite booking in advance - whilst they saw to other customers.
When they finally got me in, for the first ten minutes the guy dealing with my car was surly, uncommunicative and uninterested. The problem, it turned out, was not actually with the tracking but something else entirely.
After some gentle coaxing, prompting and questioning, the guy finally told me what he thought the problem actually was. He then rang around quite a few different places on my behalf (This company only does wheel alignment, not general repairs) until he'd sourced the part I needed. The first few places that HAD the part quoted high prices, so the man continued to call around until he'd found one at a good price. He then phoned another few people to find someone to fit the part cheaply and reliably for me that same day.
When I came to pay for the alignment, the guy said he'd only done a diagnostic check and not actually realigned my wheels, meaning that he'd knock 50% off the cost of the bill.
Since he spent more time sorting me out than it would have taken to align the wheels, I was very happy with that. I don't have a lot of money and still needed to pay for the repairs to be done so it helped me out enormously.
The guy also must have spent at least Â£5 of his own mobile phone credit calling around for me, and in the end he even drew a map to help me find the garage he'd booked to do the repairs. Well over and above the call of duty, I'd say!
It was defo. worth persisting with the man who, at first, seemed a bit moody to say the least. By the time I left, my opinion of him and the garage itself had gone up inestimably. I can't actually think of anything more the man could have done to help me. It's just a shame we didn't start on the right footing.
A hugely disappointing experience.
I thought the journey might be wasted when I took my car in on the Saturday morning to be served by surly and disinterested staff who'd obviously enjoyed a long night out the night before. I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt but soon regretted it. I explained the problem â€“ simply that the steering wheel wasn't aligned. They did the work and very soon after leaving the garage I found exactly the same problem. Took the car back and they told me that I should adjust the steering myself. I'm not a mechanic so how should I know! So, I tweaked the wheel slightly to the right but, this time, the car pulled the other way. Took the car back a third time and was told that I would have to wait two days and be charged again. This time they would try swapping the wheels over. I wonder why that, firstly, they were unable to simply get the wheels straight first or second time and that secondly, why the tyres being changed over wasn't mentioned in the first place?
Needless to say, I won't be going back again or recommending them.
Just had a full service and an MOT, Air conditioned waiting room, knowledgeable and friendly staff, must say the cleanest workshop I have ever seen, what a refreshing experience, would highly recommend to anyone.
The work was done on time, on price and with good customer feedback. They have high tech equipment, work with quiet efficiency, and at a very reasonable price with no "hidden" charges. It is also quite an interesting process to watch and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Said they were fine with the specific aftermarket suspension technology on the phone. When there they simply said it was rubbish, made a half hearted attempt at adjusting it and weren't interested in listening how to set it up. Then hurried me out as there 'was another person waiting'.
